My mother was a newspaper journalist and a teacher. Her mother was a teacher. My maternal grandfather was an executive at Firestone. My paternal great grandfather was an M.D., who attended medical school in Europe before WWII & worked with Dr George Crile, who founded the Cleveland Clinic.

I am from Akron, Ohio but I live in Aspen, Colorado most of the time.  I attended Defiance College & Ohio State University. I currently own an advertising agency. I am socially and politically liberal although I grew up in a wealthy household and I am reasonably financially successful today.
