I just turned 47 and finally got the courage to meet with my doctor to ask about my fertility. I have spent the last 19 years raising my 3 beautiful children after a divorce. My son just graduated a year early! I always planned to have a big family. I kept putting off trying on my own. I want to try home insemination a few cycles before I work with a fertility specialist.

I work from home as a freelance writer and I have been homeschooling my kids for about 3 years. I have a BA in English Literature and Anthropology. I know in my heart I need to at least try to have one more child. I'll definitely have regrets if I don't try.

Since I'm older, I'm assuming I'll need a donor willing to work with me more than one month. I have a great doctor and I'm very relaxed about the whole thing. I'm simply doing everything I can to keep my body healthy and just want to give this a try.
