How Will I Know When I Am Ovulating?
Ovulation is when an egg is released during a woman’s menstrual cycle and is when she is at her most fertile. There are kits that you can buy from chemists to help you detect when you are ovulating this is done by detecting the presence of the Luteinizing hormone (LH).
Ovulation can also be detected using blood or urine tests.
Alternatively if your periods are regular you can use a simple calendar to help you keep track of your ovulation time (14 days before the start of your period) or a body temperature charge to detect a half degree drop in body temperature (basal body temperature chart) which requires the use of a good accuracy thermometer.
