We wanted to let you know a new version of PollenTree has now been launched. We have listened to all the feedback and comments - thank you very much.

Search
Our new search will display results by newest members and latest updated members. We have more plans for search on the way.


Matches
Within your account we will recommend more possible suitable members to you.


Friends
This remains unchanged as it works pretty well. You will still be able to add as many friends as you like.


You Viewed
In your account you will be able to keep track of profiles you have viewed.


Viewed You
See who has viewed your profile.
 

Paid Messaging
As part of the upgrade we have moved to a paid messaging service.
To send messages to other members you will need to pay a monthly subscription.

We plan to keep the cost low and offer discounts for multiple months.

Messaging has been slow on PollenTree  - sorry about that.
We have worked on making messaging much quicker and will keep improving it.

Importantly, members with free accounts will still be able to receive messages from paying members. This keeps the communication going and means paying members will be able to message anyone on the site.

We will also make it easy to cancel your subscription at any time.



Always Free
Accounts and profiles will remain free and it will remain free to join PollenTree. Upgrading to a paid account will always be optional.



Why The Change?
We fully realise that some existing members will not want to subscribe, and will want to know why we now charge. Here are a few reasons:

1. Paid messaging reduces the number of timewasters and casual members.


2. Paid messaging reduces the amount of spam and unwanted messages.


3. Paid accounts encourage members to be good to each other.


4. More site and message moderation - we already do a huge amount in the background.


5. Moderating PollenTree 24/7 takes considerable resources.


6. Removal of all Google ads, ad tracking and cookies used by Google to track and identify you.


7. More support staff. 


8. More technical staff to make PollenTree better.


9. More servers to make the site faster to use.


10. More features and improvements to current features.


11. Lastly, there are now more than 120 "PollenTree babies" in the world today, we want to keep this going and help our members long into the future.
