Natural Cycle IVF Treatment

This treatment is appropriate for women who have regular periods and ovulate regularly. The treatment does not involve the use of any fertility drugs. This means the cost of this treatment is cheaper than conventional IVF.

The embryos are created in the same way as conventional IVF by extracting the woman’s egg and fertilising it  (using washed and prepared sperm) in a laboratory.

No fertility drugs
The difference is that ovulation has not been enhanced using fertility drugs and only a single egg is collected.

Lower success rate
The success rate is much lower than conventional IVF as sometimes the eggs can be difficult to collect or missed during the ovulation period.

Cheaper
However, the procedure is much cheaper than conventional IVF and can also be repeated more often as it is not necessary to wait the usual three months resting period needed between each IVF treatment cycle.

Suitability
The treatment may be suitable for women with blocked fallopian tubes. It is also beneficial for women who cannot take fertility drugs because they have previously developed Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) or women who cannot take fertility drugs because they are being treated for cancer or wish to freeze an embryo in case cancer treatment makes them infertile.
