This works in the same way as Metrodin HP,  but unlike Metrodin this is a genetically engineered drug and so is considered safer that drugs that contain human products.

It prepares the body for ovulation by mimicking the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) that produces the ovarian follicle.

In women it causes the eggs to become mature ready for release (ovulation).

It can also be taken by men to increase sperm production.

It is given by injections and for women it will be taken for a period of 7-14 days to induce ovulation and in men it is usually taken 2 to 3 times a week for approximately 4 months and is often taken in conjunction with hCG.
