| Ovulation | this is when an egg is released from the ovary. It is the fertile time of the menstrual cycle. Sexual intercourse should ideally take place 1-2 days before or 24 hours after ovulation. The ovulation period can be calculated by taking the last day of the woman's period and then counting back 12-16 days. For women with a 28 day cycle ovulation will usually occur 14 days after the last period. |
